LapGut Clinic (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the information handled through our website and internal applications.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when authorized staff use the LapGut Clinic contact management application available on the lapgutclinic.com domain.

Information We Collect

When authorized staff use the application, we may collect and process:

  • Patient UHID
  • Patient name
  • Patient mobile number
  • Internal session information required to complete the contact-saving process
  • Authorized Google account access token used by the clinic

We do not collect or store any user passwords.

Use of Google User Data

Our application uses Google Contacts access only through authorized LapGut Clinic credentials.

The application requests the following Google permission:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/contacts

This permission is used only to:

  • Save patient contact information into the clinic’s authorized Google Contacts account
  • Prevent duplicate patient mobile numbers from being saved
  • Manage patient contact records for internal clinic communication purposes

The application does not allow users to save contacts into their personal Google accounts.

We do not:

  • Access unrelated Google account information
  • Read personal emails, files, photos, calendars, or any other Google services
  • Share Google Contacts data with third parties
  • Use Google user data for advertising, marketing, analytics, or profiling
  • Sell, transfer, or disclose Google user data to any third party

Google user data is used solely for the internal operation of LapGut Clinic and only through the clinic’s authorized account credentials.

How Information Is Used

Patient information is used only for:

  • Identifying patients using UHID or mobile number
  • Retrieving patient name and mobile number from the clinic database
  • Creating a contact entry in the clinic’s authorized Google Contacts account
  • Avoiding duplicate contact entries

Storage of Data

The application may temporarily store patient information and Google access tokens within the current browser session while the user is using the system.

This temporary data may include:

  • Patient UHID
  • Patient name
  • Patient mobile number
  • Authorized Google access token

This information is used only during the current session and is not retained longer than necessary.

Data Sharing

LapGut Clinic does not share patient or Google user data with any external organizations, advertisers, or third parties except where required by law.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information handled by the application, including:

  • Secure HTTPS connections
  • Restricted access to authorized staff only
  • Internal authentication controls
  • Limited use of Google account credentials solely for the intended purpose

Third-Party Services

This application uses Google APIs and Google OAuth services. Use of Google services is also subject to Google’s own policies and terms.

Your Choices

Use of the Google Contacts feature is limited to authorized clinic staff using the clinic’s approved credentials.

If access to the clinic’s Google account is revoked or removed, the contact-saving functionality will no longer be available.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
